About Lars-Erik Kindblad

I am a software and solution architect, developer, and product builder with more than two decades of experience in software development.

Much of my work has involved designing and building large, distributed systems with many services, databases, integrations, and development teams. I have worked across healthcare, banking, finance, and consulting, with responsibilities spanning architecture, implementation, security, testing, and development practices.

Security is an integrated part of my architecture work. This includes authentication and authorization, identity management, secure coding policies, security requirements and enforcement, application security, and helping developers make secure design and implementation decisions.

I also build software products and open-source tools. My projects cover areas such as test automation, developer tooling, security, and other areas that I find interesting.

On this site, I write about topics including:

  • Software and solution architecture
  • Distributed systems and microservices
  • Application security
  • Test automation
  • Software design and code structure
  • Developer tools and practices
  • Product development
  • The use of AI

Outside software development, I am interested in travel, running, vegetarian food, and spending time with my family. I love Indian food. I have visited 50+ countries and completed 50+ half/full marathons, and I am still counting.
